About us

About Me For Kids

At Me For Kids Early Learning Centre, we provide quality care and Kindergarten program for our children from 6 weeks until 5 years.

We embed a holistic approach into our teaching practices and we believe that a genuinely caring, nurturing and welcoming learning environment  – Home Away from Home is how we can help our children at a young age build the real sense of belonging.

Children

Celebrate each child’s individuality and explore the experience of being belonging and becoming in a fun, play based environment, fostering their well being, self confidence and key skills.

We value and respect children’s cultural and religious backgrounds and believe all children should be treated with equity, regardless of gender, culture, religion, ability, ethnic or social background.

Children are provided with a secure base for curiosity, exploration and learning by building respectful and reciprocal relationships.

Children are capable and competent learners and participate in decisions that affect them. Each child’s voice is valued.

Environment

We aim to provide a secure and safe environment following ‘The seven child safety standards’. We provide quality indoor outdoor programs for all the age groups , promoting spontaneous play, exploration, sustained share thinking and collaborative learning.

Inspired by Reggio Emilia, environment is considered as the third teacher, supporting the children to thrive in learning spaces that are suited to their developmental stages and interests. We promote natural environment by creating play spaces including plants, trees, edible garden, sand, rocks, water and other elements from nature whereby the children are connected with nature in a joyful manner and also learn to take care of the world in which they live.
We provide environments that are inclusive, respectful of children’s emerging competencies and skills, giving them opportunities to make their own decisions , choices and suitable challenges.

Family

We recognise and value the role of family in a child’s life that leads to better educational,social and emotional outcomes for children.

We encourage our families to facilitate centre’s activities and involve in discussions on the wellbeing and development of their children in a meaningful way.

We welcome feedback from families to help us improve continually and to reflect on our processes critically to meet the best possible outcomes for the child’s abilities and needs.

Educator

Educators as co-learners and mentors, intentional in their teaching approach, continuously reflect on their diverse pedagogical practices , work hand tin hand to create harmonious and inclusive work environment.

Educators are guided by the framework in curriculum decisions, planning, implementation on children’s interests-and evaluating children’s learning.

Educators are empowered to use their strengths, motivated intrinsically and supported for effective professional development.

About me

Hi I’m Macy, a mother of one little baby boy. I am the Area Manager of Me For Kids for both Thomastown and Croydon centre. My role is to ensure that our Me For Kids centres are the places where our families are looking after your families.

I am also a registered Early Childhood Teacher and Primary School Teacher, holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and Primary from Monash University and Masters of Education in Leadership and Management from University of Melbourne.

I have a strong belief that every child is unique, deserves to be given the opportunity to learn and reach their full potentials. When each child comes to one of our Me For Kids centres, we believe the most important thing is to make sure that your child is genuinely oved, cuddled, cared and included by our passionate educators.

About me

Hi, my name is Julijana, a mother of two children. I’m the Centre Director at Me For Kids Thomastown Learning Centre.

I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have been part of the Early Childhood sector since 2015.

During this time, I have enjoyed various roles which have provided me with great understanding, knowledge and experience in my current position.

I’m passionate about providing a wonderful experience for our children and families during their time at Me For Kids TLC.

I believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure and supported by those around them.

I look forward to meeting you and your family and can’t wait to show you around our beautiful Service.

About me

Hi, I’m Caitlin, a mother of three children. I am working as the Centre Director at our beautiful Me For Kids Croydon Early Learning Centre.
I have been working in the Early Childhood sector since 2008. I have completed my Diploma of Children’s Services, I have held many different roles including, Assistant, Room Leader and Assistant Director before been appointed Centre Director in 2022. Each role has helped me grow and gain new skills and knowledge.

I strive to work in collaboration with families to build strong partnership to ensure their thoughts, ideas and cultures are respected and reflected in our learning environments and everyday program.

I will ensure that all families feel welcome, included, and supported throughout their child’s journey at our service.

I’m looking forward to showing you our centre and welcoming your child to explore our learning environments.
